During last week's tutorial, we had the critique session whereby everyone of us will share our opinions on one another's work.
There are quite a few good pieces. my favourite piece was by a guy called Joel.
He designed his name with the chinese characters of SHANGHAI. it was really cool and innovative!
Well.. back to the feedbacks on my 2 roughs.
For the ART roughs. The class preferred the top one to the bottom one.
because it was:
- more readable
- clearer
- clear cut
- neater
i only needa add colours to make it better cause the design is great alrdy! :P
as for the ANIMAL roughs. the class preferred the top one as well
because:
- the animals were cuter
- many loved the giraffe (feedbacks from my friends)
- it was more creative
- less confusing
However, I was told to do some scaling and resizing.
as you can see, my I (giraffe/ostrich) is kinda out of proportion. cause its longer and taller than the Y(the rabbit/lion). My N(snail) is also too small. so its kinda confusing.
Julian taught us to follow the "primary school hand writing theory" so that our characters will look more readable and normal.
For eg. my YING will look like YING. (:
I'm currently making some adjustments here and there as well as adding colours to my pieces!
By the coming wednesday, we have to show our computerized pieces! im really bad with these softwares so im kinda worried. but im trying my best to make them look good. (:
that's all for now! cause i shall get to bed so i can wake up in time for lecture tmr. ciaosss~
